Diving materials can be mainly divided into the following categories:
1. Sort by material
Neoprene (Neoprene) : This is the most common diving material, is a synthetic rubber foam, with shock-proof, thermal insulation, good elasticity, water permeability, air permeability and other characteristics. According to different laminating processes and uses, it can be subdivided into:
CR series: 100% neoprene rubber, suitable for surfing suits, wet suits, etc.
Light skin CR: Smooth surface, excellent warmth, suitable for the scene with high requirements for warmth.
Polyurethane (PU) : has excellent softness and insulation properties, and is commonly used as a wetsuit lining.
Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) : With good softness and impact resistance, it can be used to make some components of diving equipment.
Nylon and Lycra: These two fabrics are often bonded with neoprene and used to make wetsuits. Lycra is more flexible, wear-resistant and lasts longer.
2. Sort by thickness
Thin diving material: suitable for higher water temperature environment, providing a certain degree of insulation and flexibility.
Thick diving material: suitable for low water temperature environment, warmer performance is stronger.
3. Categorize by use
Wetsuit materials: including dry wetsuit and wet wetsuit materials.
Sports protection materials: such as neoprene rubber and fabric bonded composite materials, used to make sports protection.
Other uses: such as thermos cup cover, mouse pad, fishing pants, etc.
4. Categorize by function
Thermal insulation type: mainly used in cold waters, to provide good thermal effect.
Wear-resistant type: suitable for high-strength wear-resistant scenes.
Waterproof and breathable type: In some special designs, it provides waterproof and breathable function
