Fitting starts with an opening neckline
The neck strap on this reflective dog harness separates at a metal fitting, allowing the neckline to open for dressing. A fabric overlap closes with hook-and-loop fastening. This gives retailers a specific fitting feature to demonstrate to customers whose dogs dislike an over-the-head routine.
The connection sits above the dark chest panel. Farther back, a separate plastic buckle closes the body strap. Being able to identify both openings makes fitting demonstrations clearer and keeps the adjustable sliders from being mistaken for release fittings.

Three fittings with three different jobs
A rectangular component may look like a buckle while serving only to shorten a strap. For store staff and online fitting instructions, identify each part by what it does.
The metal neck connection opens the neckline
The webbing loop engages with the metal fitting at the front-side strap. Its fabric cover folds down over the connection. Check that coat hairs and loose fabric are clear of the overlap when closing it.
The side-release buckle closes the body strap
The grey plastic buckle is a separate fastening point near the back. Both sides must engage fully. Opening this buckle and changing the girth setting are different actions.
The sliders change strap length
Webbing doubles back through the rectangular sliders. Feed the strap through gradually, keep the reflective stripes facing outward, and remove twists before reassessing the fit.
For a retail fitting leaflet, pair the neck-opening sequence with the body-buckle view rather than labeling every fitting "quick release."
Cushioning follows the straps; the sides stay open
The padded sections follow the neck, chest and underside of the harness. Open areas between them leave much of the dog's sides uncovered. The grey lining is visible along the inner curves of the orange version, while colored binding finishes the edges.
- Against the coat: soft, breathable lining covers the inner contact areas. During a fitting, look at where the bound edge sits behind the front legs.
- On the outside: textured, water-resistant fabric supports the colored webbing. Fabric water resistance does not establish waterproof performance for every seam and fastening.
- Along the straps: narrow reflective lines follow the length of the webbing. Their appearance changes when direct light reaches the surface; nearby straps and fur can hide part of a line.
- At the chest: a microfiber leather panel provides the dark backing for the iPeti wordmark, framed by the surrounding binding.
A larger chest does not always need a larger neckline
The five sizes increase neck room and chest room at different rates. A chest measurement alone can therefore suggest a size whose neckline is unsuitable. Record both circumferences before choosing a sample.
Run a flexible tape around the position occupied by the upper padded strap. Keep the tape in contact without pressing into the coat.
Measure around the rib cage behind the front legs, where the body strap will lie. Take the reading with the dog standing naturally.

Dog weights are approximate guidance. Dimensions are manually measured and may vary slightly. Confirm comfort and strap position on the dog; a size label or weight category cannot establish the fit by itself.
When two rows overlap
A 40 cm neck and 64 cm chest fall within both M and L. Trying both samples lets the buyer compare the position of the padded sections and the adjustment left in each strap.
When no row works
A 32 cm neck with a 62 cm chest does not fit a single row: S is too small at the chest, while M starts at a 34 cm neck. Moving up a letter does not solve this combination.
A handhold near the dog, with a belt-routing opening
For brief, close handling
The raised loop gives the handler a place to hold near the dog's back while waiting at a doorway or moving through a narrow space. Its underside is padded. Choose a size that leaves room for the hand without the handle pulling the harness out of position.
For the vehicle-belt arrangement
The top loop also accommodates belt routing. Compatibility depends on the belt, available length, seat layout and harness size. Assess the complete arrangement in the intended vehicle before offering it as a travel feature.
A belt-routing loop is not evidence of crash protection. No crash-test rating is specified for this model.
Choose the whole color combination
Orange combines warm-toned webbing stripes with grey inner padding. Red, rose pink and khaki also show pale lining, while the black version has dark contact padding. The visual change is therefore larger than a different outer strap color.

For a custom palette, identify which parts should change: strap face, woven stripes, edge binding, inner padding or buckle color. A single color name does not describe all five areas.
Where a lead is sold alongside the harness, compare the actual textiles together. Different weaves can make the same color reference look lighter or darker. Explore lead constructions before choosing the matching accessory.
Keep the wordmark inside the panel outline
The dark microfiber leather panel narrows toward the lower attachment area. For a replacement logo, send the horizontal and vertical artwork dimensions so the lettering can be positioned clear of the binding and hardware.
Check legibility on the smallest ordered harness as well as the display sample. An artwork size that looks balanced on XL may leave less room on XS. Color and artwork requests can be discussed through custom design development.
Four questions that affect the order
Is the fabric overlap the only neck fastening?
No. The webbing loop connects through a metal fitting, and the hook-and-loop flap closes over it. The flap does not replace the metal connection. Both parts need to be correctly positioned when the neckline is closed.
Can XS and S be treated as interchangeable at a 44 cm chest?
Both chest ranges include 44 cm, but their neck ranges are different: XS is 24–29 cm and S is 30–38 cm. That chest reading alone cannot select between them. The neck measurement may rule one out immediately.
Are the listed gram weights suitable for calculating freight?
The 190–244 g figures refer to individual harnesses. Retail cards, bags, boxes and shipping cartons add weight and volume. Request packed measurements for the chosen assortment before estimating delivery costs.
Does the five-color photograph represent one bundled set?
The photograph presents the color alternatives. State the number of harnesses required in each color and size. If a lead or another accessory is required in the same retail pack, include it explicitly in the quotation request.
