The connector has reference dimensions of 7 × 3 cm. When selecting it for a branded collection, examine the opening and the ring it will enclose. A large outer housing does not necessarily mean a large usable opening, particularly when the harness has a thick or angled attachment ring.
Match the jaws to the ring
Supply the thickness and shape of your harness attachment. Check that it passes through the open jaws, sits freely inside the closed connector and stays clear of the release levers during ordinary movement.
Check operation in the hand
Evaluate both opening levers on a physical sample. Try the action with the gloves your customers typically wear, if applicable, and inspect closure after repeated opening. The rotating base should remain free to turn when attached.

The padded loop is the main hold for walking. The lower grip offers a second position for bringing the dog closer without wrapping spare strap around the hand. Between them, the gathered middle section extends with tension and returns as the tension eases.
For a custom specification, define the overall reach, the length of the elastic portion and the strap width as separate measurements. Textile composition, lining material and elastic resistance also belong in the agreed specification. These choices affect how the finished lead feels as well as its appearance.
Vehicle buckle fit is a separate decision
Confirm the tongue profile and latch engagement with the intended vehicle before selecting this attachment for travel. Connect through a suitable body harness. The presence of a seatbelt tongue does not establish universal compatibility or crash protection.
Make the color and connector visible at retail
A hanging card can display the frog-style connector below the folded strap so a customer can inspect its shape and opening controls. For boxed presentation, agree the coil arrangement and the position of the label before finalizing the artwork. The clip and the color should be easy to identify without unpacking the entire lead.
- Product branding: evaluate a sewn label, a suitable patch or printing on a flat area. Allow space around folded joints and reflective stitching.
- Grip branding: request a separate feasibility check for a logo formed into the shaped grip, including any tooling charge.
- Metal finish: black is the reference appearance. Specify another finish with a physical reference and agree the acceptance standard for marks, wear and color variation.

Record the frog mechanism in open and closed positions
Keep front, side and open-jaw photographs of the approved connector. Similar black housings can differ in aperture, lever shape or swivel junction. A connector reference code and a retained physical example make those differences easier to identify on later orders.

Is 7 × 3 cm the space available inside the jaws?
No. It is the reference size of the connector, not its internal clearance. Send the attachment ring dimensions and request a connector drawing or fit sample. The ring must pass through the opening and sit inside the closed jaws without interfering with their action.
Can an order include several of the seven colors?
Submit the required quantity beside each color name. The quotation will identify the applicable color minimums and packing arrangement. If exact color matching is required, approve a physical sample rather than using a screen image as the production standard.
Can a brand mark be placed on the black jaw housing?
That requires a marking-area and surface-finish check. Supply the artwork at its intended size; leave hinges, release levers and meeting edges unobstructed. If the housing offers insufficient space, a sewn brand label on the fabric is another option to evaluate.
Do the seven colors have different connectors?
