Cats may dislike pet beds for a variety of reasons:

- The wrong size: Cats like to be able to fully stretch out or curl up in a ball while sleeping or resting, so a pet bed that is too small for the cat to feel cramped, or too large for the cat to feel insecure, may not be appreciated.

Cat factor
