The steps to use a pet poop bag are as follows:
Preparatory work
- Choose the right poo bag: According to the size of the pet and the amount of feces, choose the right size, reliable material poo bag. In general, large dogs need a larger size, thick poop bag, and small dogs can use a relatively small bag.
- Carry a poopy bag: Keep the poopy bag in an accessible place, such as a pocket, backpack, or on a leash. Some bags come with special clips or hooks for easy carrying and securing.
Clean up feces
- Close to the feces: After the pet defecates, walk to the feces with the poop bag, taking care to approach from the side or behind the feces as far as possible to avoid stepping on or touching the feces.
- Bagging: Remove the poop bag from the roll or packaging and open the poop bag with one hand, making sure the opening is large enough to easily contain the feces. If it is a poop bag with a handle, unfold the handle.
- Pick up the feces: With the hand wearing the bag, gently scoop the feces from the bottom of the bag, trying to completely bag the feces. If the stool is soft or thin, you can first use the other hand to help gather the feces, and then pick up with the poop bag to ensure that nothing is missing. For large or hard stools, you may need to work with both hands.
- Seal the mouth of the bag: Tie or knot the mouth of the bag containing feces to prevent odor and feces from leaking out. If the bag has a built-in sealing design, such as adhesive strips or cord, use these devices to seal properly.
Follow-up treatment
- Dump the garbage: Put the tied poop bag into the appropriate trash can. If outdoors, look for a public trash can with a lid; If at home, you can put it into a special garbage bag, and then put the garbage in a specified time and way. Some poo bags are degradable materials, you can choose the appropriate treatment according to local environmental requirements.
- Clean hands: After handling the poop bag, clean hands with paper towels, wipes, or hand sanitizer to ensure that they are clean and hygienic. If you are not able to wash your hands immediately outside, you can also use hand sanitizer to clean it first, and then wash it thoroughly with soap and water after you get home.
