Basic training
Establish a close bond: Before starting training, establish a good trust and close relationship with the dog. Spending time with it, interacting with it through stroking, playing, and gentle language, so that it feels your love and kindness, is the foundation of successful training.
Instruction training

  • Simple instructions: Choose simple, clear, consistent command words, such as "sit", "lie", "come", "go", etc. Take "sitting" as an example, hold a snack in your hand, attract the dog's attention above the dog's face, and then slowly move the snack upward, the dog's head will follow, the body will naturally sit down, and immediately give the snack reward and praise.
  • Instruction reinforcement: Repeat the training with a reward and positive feedback, such as praise, petting, or a treat, each time the dog correctly performs the command. As the dog becomes familiar with the command, it is possible to gradually reduce the frequency of the treat reward, but still maintain praise and encouragement.

Socializing training

  • Exposure to different environments: Let the dog be exposed to a variety of different environments, people and other animals, such as parks, streets, shopping malls, etc. It can begin in a quieter, less crowded place and gradually transition to a complex environment to help it adapt to various sounds, smells and scenes, reducing fear and anxiety.
  • Interact with people and animals: Arrange for dogs to interact with people of different ages, genders, and personalities, as well as other friendly dogs. Reward and praise him when he shows friendly, docile behavior; If there is tension or aggressive behavior, stop it in time and guide it in the right way.

Obedience training

  • Recall training: Choose a quiet, safe environment, such as indoors or an enclosed yard. Call the dog's name first, get its attention, and then give a "come" command while waving to it. If it comes up to you, praise it warmly and reward it with a snack. Gradually increase the distance and distractions for training, such as recalling when it is playing or in the presence of other people and animals.
  • Accompanying training: Put the dog on a leash and stand on your left side at an appropriate distance. Give the "go" command and start walking slowly forward. If the dog walks in front of you or pulls on the lead, stop and wait until he returns to the correct position before continuing. Give rewards and praise when the dog is able to stay quietly with you.

Skill training

  • Fixed defecation: Choose a fixed defecation spot in the room and spread a urine pad or newspaper. Observe the regularity of the dog's defecation, generally after waking up, after eating within 15-30 minutes, take it to the designated place, and give it a reward after it defecates. If it defecates in the wrong place, clean it up in time, do not leave a smell, to avoid it defecating there again.
  • Grab training: Choose a toy that the dog likes, such as a ball or frisbee. Let the dog get familiar with the toy, then throw the toy a short distance, issue the "fetch" command, and guide it to retrieve the toy. When it catches the toy, issue the "come back" command, wait for it to come back to you, give rewards and praise, and take the toy from its mouth, repeat the training again.
